This simple but delicious recipe will have you hopping out of bed for your breakfast
Ingredients
4 cups of oats
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of warm honey
1/3 cup of oil
Directions
1. Preheat over to 180°C
2. Mix oats, salt and cinnamon together
3. Oil baking tray and place oats in the tray
4. Toast oats in oven for 5 -7 minutes
5. Take toasted oats out of oven and turn with wooden spoon/spatula
6. Add vanilla essence and warm honey to oats and mix well to ensure honey has coated most, if not all, oats mixture
7. Place tray back in the oven for 15 minutes, turning the oats every 5 minutes so it bakes evenly and doesn't stick together
8. When oats is golden brown and slightly crunchy/chewy, take out of oven and cool
9. Run your wooden spoon/spatula through the granola to ensure it has separated appropriately
10. Transfer granola to air tight container to retain freshness and crunch.
***Best served with double thick yoghurt and blueberries***
