An African staple will transform your favorite breakfast food
Ingredients
1 cup Inkomazi
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions
1. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
2. Whisk egg and butter into sour milk.
3. Pour flour mixture into milk mixture and whisk until batter is smooth.
4. Add vanilla extract to batter. Mix well.
5. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray.
6. Ladle batter into pan and cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry (3 to 4 minutes)
7. Flip and cook until browned on the other side, 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.
